Psychometric
Psychometric assessments for campus and role hiring.
A psychometric assessment on AssessEngine is a short work-style test. It shows how someone tends to work and what they want from the job. For entry-level and campus hiring, the usual set takes about 25–35 minutes and has three parts. The interview still makes the decision.
A campus drive can mix this with an aptitude test. See campus hiring. Pricing is confirmed for the assessment type and volume. See pricing.
- Work styleHow they tend to work. Read it in the interview.
- Situational judgmentWhat they would do in ordinary work scenes. You can set a pass mark.
- Work valuesWhat they want from the job, such as pay, hours, learning, helping, or a path up.
What the campus pack includes
Use this set for entry-level and campus hiring. Use one work-style assessment in a hiring round.
01 Work style
How they tend to work
The report shows the higher and lower points, what that level looks like at work, where it helps, and what to ask. Read this in the interview.
02 Situational judgment
What they would do in work scenes
Ordinary situations, such as credit for work, an angry customer, or a missed deadline. You can set a pass mark, then read the scenes they chose.
03 Work values
What they want from the job
Ranked from what they want most to what they want least. A mismatch on pay, hours, learning, helping, or a path up is a retention signal for the interview.
On a work-style report, use the higher points and the lower points as interview questions. On work values, read the top and the bottom. On situational judgment, use the score, then read the scenes they chose. If the attention check was missed, the same answer was used throughout, or the test was finished very quickly, treat the profile as weak and check it in the interview.
Add a piece only when the role needs it
The campus pack is enough for a standard fresher screen. Add one of these for the job in front of you.
Customer, support, retail, or BPO
Add workplace emotional intelligence: how they handle people at work. On work values, read helping, balance, and security first.
Cash, customer accounts, or data
Use a work style that also reads fairness, and the scene about signing work they have not seen. Keep the usual reference checks.
First-time supervisor
Add conflict preferences when the job includes holding a point, repairing a relationship, or closing a dispute.
More than one campus track
Add career interests: the kind of work they want, such as hands-on, analysis, helping, or organizing.
The same three-part set works for experienced hires. Read the lower points as interview questions. Add workplace emotional intelligence when the job is client-facing.

Questions
Common questions
What recruiters ask before they add this to a campus or role drive.
Does AssessEngine run psychometric assessments for hiring?
Yes. For entry-level and campus hiring, the usual set takes about 25–35 minutes: work style, situational judgment in work scenes, and work values for what the candidate wants from the job. Situational judgment can have a pass mark. Work style and work values do not. Add workplace emotional intelligence, conflict preferences, or career interests only when the role needs them. The report is written for the interviewer and the interview still makes the decision.
What does the campus psychometric pack include?
The usual campus set has three parts: work style, situational judgment in work scenes, and work values for what the candidate wants from the job. Together they take about 25–35 minutes. Use one work-style assessment in a hiring round.
Can a psychometric test have a cutoff?
Situational judgment in work scenes can have a pass mark. Work style and work values do not. A mismatch on work values is a retention signal for the interview.
Does a psychometric result replace the interview?
The report is written for the interviewer. It shows what that level looks like at work, where it helps, and what to ask. The interview still makes the decision.
How long does a psychometric assessment take?
The usual entry-level set takes about 25–35 minutes. Candidates open it in a browser on a laptop or phone. No app is installed.
Is this a Big Five, Myers-Briggs, or DISC test?
The questions are original workplace wording for how someone tends to work. This is not a licensed Big Five, Myers-Briggs, or DISC questionnaire.
